NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY CELEBRATED AT MHAC

MHAC School celebrated National Girl Child Day in collaboration with J&K State Commission for women on 24th Jan, 2018.

Ms. Nayeema (Chairperson J&K State Commission for Women) was the chief guest for the day & Mr. H R Gandhar (Chairman LMC, MHAC) was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. Mr. T K Ganjoo (Manager, LMC)& Principal Mrs. Sween Puri along with supervisory Head received the Chief Guest & Guest of Honour along with other dignitaries from state & DAV. Guests were presented with bouquets & flower petals were showered on them in their welcome. Honorable guests paid tribute to the founder of the school His Highness Maharaja Hari Singh Ji by garlanding his statue.

Thereafter the Chief Guest was paid Guest of honour by the squads of NCC Armed Cadets, NCC Naval Cadets & a squad of MHAC girls. Ms. Nayeema (Chairperson J&K State Women Commission) & Principal Mrs. Sween Puri waved a green flag & All the girl students marched in a safety walk carrying beautiful banner, posters, flexes & placards with meaningful messages. Four Kadamb trees were also planted by the Chief Guest Ms. Nayeema Ahmed (Chairperson J&K State Women Commission) ,  Mr. H R Gandhar (Manager LMC), Mr. T K Ganjoo (Manager LMC) &  Principal Mrs. Sween Puri  to enrich Kadamb Vatika of the school.

Cultural afternoon, which was organized in school Mahajan Hall started with lighting of lamp. MHAC Principal Mrs. Sween Puri extended the formal welcome & apprised the audience with school’s efforts to help girl students in various ways.

Mrs. Nayeema Ahmed (Chairperson J&K State Women Commission) was Chief Guest spoke about the problems of girl child in India & especially in J&K. She also motivates young girls to have faith in themselves & to achieve the excellence.

Mr. H R Gandhar (Chairman LMC) was Guest of Honour named many of the successful Indian Womens who could fight with the social problems & carved a niche for themselves.

Beautifully choreographed Dance item & meticulously prepared Dance drama mesmerized the audience & everybody got engrossed in the dance & the act & applauded the efforts of students & teachers in conveying the message. Ankita Sharma of Class XII enacted like a global peagent Priyanka Chopra & enthralled the audience.

Many of the young ladies from different spheres were awarded with mementoes by the Chief Guest to honour them for their remarkable achievements along with the national players from MHAC & girl toppers in class 10th & 12th from different schools.

Ms. Sunaina Mehta (Secretary, JMC Jammu), Ms. Swati Gupta (Judicial Magistrate, Sub Registrar Jammu), Ms. Pooja Raina (Judicial Magistrate, Munsiff, Akhnoor) Ex Nagbanians, were awarded with Awards of Honour Mementoes.

Mr. H R Gandhar (Chairman LMC) & Principal Mrs. Sween Puri honoured the Chief Guest Mrs. Nayeema Ahmed (Chairperson J&K State Women Commission)  with a Shawl & a memento. Mr. H R Gandhar & Mr. T K Ganjoo were also honoured on this occasion.

Principal Mrs. Sween Puri presented vote of thanks. Programme was well compered by Mrs. Shashi Bedi. The programme concluded with National Anthem & Shaanti path.
