Founder’s Day celebrated with Gaiety & Fervour
MHAC School Nagbani celebrated the Great Maharaja Harisingh’s 128th birthday with great pomp and show in the school premises on 21st Sept, 2023.
The founder father of the school was paid rich floral tributes by the Chief Guest, Sh Bharat Bhushan, Chairman Distt Development Council, Jammu.
Among the dignitaries present on this auspicious occasion were respected LMC members, Sh ID Soni, Sh Susheel Jamwal, Worthy ARO JKZone-A Mr Alok Betab. Mrs Sarita Singh, Daughter in-law of Late Capt Dewan Singh Ji was also present along with the Sarpanch from various villages.
The celebrations commenced with a Havan Yajna. A divine flavor was added to the atmosphere with melodious resounding bhajans and mantras.
A dance drama was presented by the students showcasing the life of Maharaja Harisingh and the social reforms done by him.
On this auspicious occasion the school presented gifts to two guests schools – Vir Ram Chander memorial Trust school Ban Batehra and School for hearing and handicapped, J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra Shahidi Chowk, Jammu.
Principal MHAC Nagbani Sh Brij Mohan in his welcome address paid rich tribute to Maharaja Harisingh Ji and highlighted his visionary ideas. Vote of thanks was presented by Sh Alok Betab, ARO to all the esteemed invitees.
In his address the Chief Guest Sh Bharat Bhushan threw light on Maharaja Harisingh’s contribution towards education describing him as a great visionary ruler of the state.
Keeping alive the philanthropic works of the Maharaja, the programme culminated with the chanting of Shantipath. It was followed by community langer organized on a very large scale on this auspicious day.
