Report on21st-Century Skills Workshop at MHACNagbanion15th November 2025
A workshop on essential 21st-century skills — Effective Communication, Collaboration, and Conflict Resolution — was conducted by Ms. Neelakshi Sharma (PGT Psychology) at MHAC Nagbani School on 15 November 2025f or the students of Classes 11and 12. GOAL: The primary goal of the workshop was to equip students with interpersonal and problem-solving abilities necessary for academic success and future workplace readiness. Activity Description:The session began with an engaging ice-breaker activity that encouraged students to interact with peers outside their usual groups. Ms. Neelakshi then explained the importance of clear expression, active listening, and respectful dialogue. Through role-play exercises, students practiced real-life scenarios involving misunderstandings and disagreements, learning strategies to communicate assertively and resolve conflicts constructively.A collaborative group task required students to plan a mini-project within a time limit, emphasizing teamwork, delegation, and shared responsibility. This allowed them to experience first-hand how effective communication enhances cooperation and reduces friction. Participant Feedback:The participant feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Students appreciated the interactive format and felt that the workshop helped them understand their own communication styles. Many expressed increased confidence in dealing with group tasks and challenging social situations. Outcomes achieved and Challenges Encountered:The outcomes achieved included improved awareness of interpersonal skills, enhanced teamwork abilities, and better techniques for handling conflicts calmly. However, some challenges encountered were students’ initial hesitation to speak publicly and difficulty adapting to mixed-group collaboration. Ms. Neelakshi addressed these by offering supportive guidance and encouraging equal participation. Overall, the workshop proved highly beneficial in preparing students for the demands of modern academic and professional environments.
