institution in the state. All the five elements – Agni, Jal, Prithvi, Vayu and Aakash appeased and satiated the atmosphere which was all set for the lofty ideal of ‘Aao Sansar Sukhi Banayen’ , the theme of today’s programme.
The school arranged this event under the guidance of DAV Managing committee, New Delhi and Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, Delhi. This Mahayajana was arranged with the view to make the students aware of their culture, heritage and values, which are lacking in today’s modern education system. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Poonam Suri, President, DAV Managing committee New Delhi.
The Guests of honor were the important dignitaries & office bearers of DAV Managing committee, Principals & Regional Directors of various DAV Schools & Colleges of Punjab, Himachal, Haryana, U.P, Bihar, J&K etc. Numerous scholars, Arya Veers & Dharam Shikshaks from various parts of the country were invited to make the programme successful.
Preparations for the grand occasion had started about a month back. The spacious ground of MHAC Nagbani was divided into four blocks. Each block had 50 Havan Kunds. 
The programme commenced with the chanting of Mantras. Students of 8th & 9th Class helped the Yajmans in performing the Havan according to the Vedic rituals. The whole atmosphere turned spiritual, pious & fragrant. Prasad was distributed after the Havan.
The spectacular cultural bonanza started with a welcome song by the Staff members followed by the DAV anthem sung by Class 10th students. The vicinity of the school resounded with religious & spiritual fervor by the melodious bhajans. A ballad depicting the life story of Swami Dayanand was beautifully enacted by the students. A mesmerizing dance item, ‘Ussi Ka Noor’ was presented by the students of Class 9th & 10thAll the cultural items were enthralling, holding the attention of one & all. As per the DAV tradition many scholars were honored by the school on this occasion. Five sewing machines & hundred blankets were also donated to the needy by the school.
Mr. Punam Suri, President, in his speech spoke high about the staff, management and especially the force behind this mass event. Principal Alok Betab, congratulated all the staff members for such a commendable job.
The students & staff members of Nagbani were blessed by the honored scholars for a bright & prosperous future. A separate Pandal was set where thousands of people had their share of Prasad in the form of Rishi langar. Programme ended with a vote of thanks & recital of Shanti Path.
